This one's pretty short but i like the idea. It's goes along with the rest of the show's themes.
“Harris? Xander Harris, is that you!?” The scared and grizzled ex-con came running up to me with a jovial smile. He passed the sad and aimless riders that awaited their busses.
“cuff-knife Bob! How you doing man? Staying out of trouble?”
“Yeah, I’ve been hanging with my church crew and sticking with anger management. You still driving those busses?”
“No, I quit after you stabbed me with your sharpened hand cuff. Also, it wasn’t crucial to the plot anymore so of course I had to lose my job.”
“Ah, I’m sorry, man. You know how prison is though.”’
“I don’t actually.” Bob’s brows shot up. Why is it so surprising that I’ve never been to prison? “Although I may end up there. Did you hear about how me and some friends saved the world a few years back?”
“Yeah, I saw that on the news. Everyone thought it was a hoax at first. Did you get paid for that?”
“Nope. In fact, the apocalypse was supposed to happen, and according to the powers that be, I had the most crucial part in stopping it somehow. Now every god in existence is making sure that my life is a living hell. Not dead, mind you, but an actual living hell. For the past six months I have not been able to leave this bus station.”
A call came across the intercom.
“Oh man, that sucks. Look, my bus is about to depart, but good luck, man.”
I sighed as he walked away. This is my damnation. Everyone that has ever hurt me is going to walk through this bus station one day and they are all doing better than I am. This is my hell. This is my life,
